I offer engagements, couples, and proposals photoshoots to those who wish to have stunning photos with their significant other. Your unique bond should be captured in a genuine and inspiring way that showcases your life together.

Here is all the information required to book an engagement, couple, or proposal photoshoot with me.

      •

        Engagement / pre-wedding photoshoot:

An engagement session is a photoshoot for a couple taken before their wedding or at any point in their relationship, to capture casual, relaxed photos in a location of their choice. This can be a special place they love to visit or where they have shared happy moments.

        Couple photoshoot:

Individuals may reach out to plan a professional photography session as a couple for a special event like an anniversary or birthday, or at any point in their relationship when they feel inspired to cherish their love for each other and inspire others with it. Also, if you're planning a romantic trip to Montreal, I'm happy to arrange a vacation photoshoot during your visit! We can plan the session together.

        Proposal photoshoot:

A proposal photoshoot is a professional photography session to capture the moment of a marriage proposal. It typically involves the photographer discreetly taking photos of the proposal event, capturing the couple's reactions and emotions, and documenting this special moment in their relationship. The photoshoot often takes place at a location chosen by the proposer, such as a scenic location, a place of sentimental significance, or an intimate setting. The photos from the proposal photoshoot can serve as a cherished memento of the couple's engagement.

        My favorite locations in Montreal:

Some of the best locations for couple and engagement photoshoots in Montreal include:

        • Old Montreal: The well-known historic neighborhood of Old Montreal offers charming cobblestone streets, picturesque buildings, and romantic alleyways, making it an ideal location for capturing photos with a timeless and elegant feel to them.

        • Mount Royal: This scenic park offers stunning views of the city and serves as a backdrop for photos that are both romantic and adventurous. If you seek a forest-like ambiance amidst the bustle of the city, this location is sure to captivate you with its breathtaking charm.

        • The Botanical Garden: This lush garden features a variety of botanical collections, gardens, and greenhouses, providing a beautiful and diverse setting for photos. In the cold winters of Montreal, this location is a perfect refuge, as its indoor gardens offer a beautiful backdrop of nature and greenery, imbuing your photos with their charm.

        • West Island Forests: As a lifelong resident of West Island, I have had the privilege of thoroughly exploring these picturesque forests. They are a tranquil haven, immersing you in Montreal's nature.

        • The Lachine Canal: This peaceful waterway provides a lovely backdrop for photos with a more relaxed and natural feel.

These are just a few of the many fantastic locations for couple photoshoots in Montreal. The best location will depend on your style and preferences, as well as the season. Together, we can choose a location that reflects your personality and relationship.

      • Frequently Asked Questions about Couple Photoshoots:

How do you provide poses during the photoshoot? (We prefer candid shots)

During the couple photoshoot, I will provide minimal posing instructions to ensure the shots look natural. I want to make sure that the subjects are relaxed and comfortable. For example, I might suggest that you walk along a path while holding hands, looking at each other, and staying connected.

We are shy/goofy, how do you handle this?

You're not alone, many of my clients share similar concerns. What's important is capturing the connection between you as a couple. I will do my best to put you at ease so that your personalities shine through in the photos. You don't have to force laughter, just be yourselves.

What should we wear for the photoshoot?

I recommend wearing clothes without patterns and in neutral colors such as white, beige, olive, light pink, etc.

How do we match our outfits?

You can find outfit inspiration on this website: https://www.romanyflower.com/mallorca-couple-photographer-outfits/

Can we send you some inspiration photos before the photoshoot?

Of course! I would be happy to take a look and provide my thoughts. I'll keep the inspiration photos in your file for consideration during the photoshoot.

What's the best time for the photoshoot?

For the best lighting, I recommend scheduling the photoshoot either in the early morning or 2 hours before sunset. These are known as the "Golden Hours."

How do you select the photos for editing? Can we make the selection?

I will select the best photos for editing, considering factors such as pose, expression, and open eyes. The selected photos will be the ones that stand out in terms of aesthetic appeal and will not be repetitive. This selection process is done by me to save time. You will have access to all RAW photos.

How does the editing process work? What is included in the editing?

The first step is to back up all photos. Then, I'll select the best photos based on various criteria, such as pose, smile, open eyes, etc. The selected photos will be edited to adjust lighting, framing, color, and to remove any unwanted objects. The photos will then be exported in two different sizes for web use and printing. An online gallery will be created from the edited photos and the link will be sent to you.

What if we want more photos to be edited?

The number of edited photos provided is sufficient to capture all the good shots, including group photos. If you still feel the need for additional editing, this can be done without an extra fee for one or two photos. However, if you want a substantial number of photos to be edited, there may be an hourly editing fee

What do we receive after the photoshoot? How many photos and do we get the RAW files?

Typically, you will receive 40 to 60 edited photos. If you'd like, I can also provide all RAW photos upon request.

How will we receive the final photos?

The edited photos will be delivered through an online gallery, which can be shared with friends and family. If requested, I can also provide all RAW photos.
